Bed & Breakfast in Rural Normandy
|
|
La Pommeraie lies on the outskirts of the small village of Etalleville in an area known as the Pays de Caux in the heart of the Seine Maritime region of Normandy. The Seine Maritime is not as well known as the Calvados region of Normandy with its famous beaches but it is not without its charm and beauty from the beautiful Cote Albatre (Alibaster Coast) down to the Seine river. This region is not only famous for its cream and apples but the local town of Doudeville is known as the capital of the linen producing region of the Seine Maritime. Though there are no shops in Etalleville, in Doudeville (only 4 kms away) you will find the local shops, cafes, a take-away pizza shop, supermarkets, banks, petrol station (at the supermarket), tourist office, post office, etc. The cottage is in a perfect central point for a stay in the Seine Maritime enabling you to easily visit many of the sites in the area. We are 15 minutes from the coast and 35 minutes from the historic city of Rouen or the Seine. For more information look under on places to visit or things to do look in our Tourism pages. On the How to find us page we provide you with directions to our cottage from various towns/motorways.
